The infrastructure engineer ensures continuity of the dispatch center's IT infrastructure, managing physical and virtual workstations and servers. The role involves supporting Citrix and VMware environments, working on lifecycle projects, and improving cybersecurity. The position is at Politie Nederland in Zeist.

• Manage and support ICT infrastructure and workplace technology for the dispatch center.
• Ensure continuity of approximately 1600 physical workplaces, 2000 virtual workplaces, and 150 servers.
• Analyze and resolve disruptions and problems in cooperation with team members.
• Participate actively in projects such as lifecycle management of backend systems, including migration to new operating systems or Citrix backend.
• Certify USB cables in the dispatch table for optimal operation with equipment.
• Actively improve cybersecurity in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

• HBO (bachelor) work and thinking level, preferably with education or experience in ICT.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Citrix Provisioning Services. Workspace management with Ivanti Workspace Control.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft products, Windows 10 and Windows 11 and Windows Server products and SCCM.
• Basic experience with cloud products Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Intune.
• Proactive, positive-critical, and result-oriented working attitude.
• Ability to identify security risks and act proactively.
• Excellent skills in analyzing and solving complex problems in a demanding ICT environment.

• Gross monthly salary between €3,363 and €5,418 (scale 9 Bbp) based on a 36-hour work week.
• Individual Choice Budget (IKB) consisting of a gross part of 17.86% of salary and a net part of €515.91 per year.
