Senior Payment Infrastructure Engineer (PHP / Go)

Building a next-generation payment platform from scratch. Seeking a senior engineer to own core fiat/card payment infrastructure, integrate with acquirers and PSPs, and design payment flows. Requires 5+ years of card payment experience and strong PHP/Go skills.

• Build and own core fiat/card payment infrastructure
• Integrate with acquirers, PSPs, and payment processors
• Design and debug end-to-end payment flows (auth, capture, settlement, refunds)
• Work with 3DS2, MIT, recurring payments, and card-on-file systems
• Architect scalable billing and payment systems from scratch
• Take full ownership as the first (solo) engineer in this domain

• 5+ years of hands-on production experience in card payments
• Strong experience with PHP and/or Go
• Deep understanding of payment lifecycle and card network specifications
• Practical experience with 3DS2, MIT, recurring payments, card-on-file flows
• Strong debugging skills (request/response level, transaction tracing)
• Ability to build systems independently from 0→1
• AI-native engineering mindset
• Experience as MoR (Merchant of Record) or PayFac
• Multi-acquirer / international payment setups
• Experience building payment infrastructure (not just integrations)
• Startup or early-stage product experience
