Software Engineer II

Develop software systems for Drodeno's airspace security solutions, including designing scalable systems, building APIs, and supporting cloud infrastructure as part of an agile team.

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance software systems for Dedrone's core products
• Contribute to design of new features and system components
• Own and deliver features end-to-end from requirements to production rollout
• Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders
• Actively participate in coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack
• Support production systems including monitoring, debugging, and reliability fixes
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software design and development processes
• Contribute to improvements in development practices, tools and system design

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Professional experience building and operating backend or distributed systems
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience designing and building APIs or service components within a microservices architecture
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of network communication protocols (HTTP/REST, WebSockets, MQTT)
• Experience working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar)
• Understanding of software quality practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD
