Junior Software Developer (w/m/d)

The FWU is a media institute of the German states, providing web-based educational media infrastructure for schools. This role is for a Junior Software Developer to work on the Schulcloud-Verbund-Software (SVS) project, an LMS serving over 4,000 schools, within an agile Scrum team.

• Development and further development of the SVS in an agile Scrum team
• Implementation of clearly defined tasks and user stories with guidance from experienced developers
• Error analysis and bug fixing
• Conducting tests, technical coordination, and documentation

• Relevant training (e.g., IT specialist for application development) or Bachelor's in (Business/Media) Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Initial practical experience in software development (including internships and work-study positions)
• Basic knowledge of web technologies, programming languages, and version control systems
• Initial practical experience or basic knowledge in the used tech stack (backend: TypeScript/NestJS; frontend: TypeScript/Vue.js; testing: Cypress, Jest)
• Interest in agile development methods
• Very good German language skills (C1 or higher) including technical terminology, good English skills (at least B2)
• Willingness to learn, structured and results-oriented working style, strong quality awareness
• Good communication and organizational skills, strong team spirit
