Research position at the Institute for Simulation and Graphics, AG Visual Computing, working on the DFG project 'Flow in Frames' to develop methods for optimal reference frames for time-dependent flow data. The position offers the opportunity for a PhD.

• Development and analysis of new methods for determining optimal reference frames for time-dependent flow data, including stability and error analysis
• Design and mathematical implementation of generally shaped, dynamic domains as well as multiple or hierarchical reference frames
• Implementation and evaluation of methods on CFD datasets and scientific publication of results
• Opportunity for a PhD is given and desired

• Master/Diplom degree in Computer Science, Computational Visualistics or a comparable field
• in-depth knowledge of visualization and computer graphics
• very good programming skills (C++/Python)
• very good English skills in spoken and written
