SW Engineer III Front End Developer (ReactJS)

Candescent is a forward-thinking technology company transforming digital banking experiences. They are seeking a Front-End Developer to build high-performance web applications using React.js and TypeScript, collaborating with UX designers and backend engineers.

• Develop and deliver high-quality, production-ready front-end applications
• Create and maintain reusable UI components, design patterns, and front-end frameworks
• Develop technical documentation, component libraries, and design specifications
• Monitor application performance and user experience metrics
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects, performance bottlenecks, and browser compatibility issues
• Participate in code reviews and promote front-end best practices
• Participate in Agile planning sessions, providing technical estimates and implementation recommendations
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into engaging user experiences
• Contribute to front-end architecture discussions and technology decisions
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and application performance
• Support the definition of acceptance criteria and testing requirements
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and TypeScript
• Build responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible user interfaces
• Develop reusable, scalable UI components and shared libraries
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate closely with UX designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and industry best practices
• Monitor front-end performance metrics such as page load times, Core Web Vitals, and user engagement
• Continuously improve application responsiveness, accessibility, and scalability
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate testing and deployment processes
• Drive improvements in front-end development standards and workflows

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Front-End Development
• Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, Zustand, or MobX
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and accessibility (WCAG)
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
• Experience with modern UI component libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, or Bootstrap
• Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, and npm/yarn
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and modern development workflows
• Strong understanding of browser rendering, performance optimization, and debugging techniques
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR) (preferred)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright (preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps (preferred)
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architecture (preferred)
• Understanding of secure front-end development practices and OWASP guidelines (preferred)
• Experience with design systems and component-driven development (preferred)
• Familiarity with Figma and collaborating closely with UX/UI teams (preferred)
