Senior Software Engineer

Shiftsmart is building a labor platform that pairs workforce management technology with a global network of flexible workers. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead complex technical projects, design and build features using Node.js, React, Python, and more, and mentor junior engineers.

• Lead complex technical projects from ideation and design through production and deployment, for example, adapt our dispatch algorithm to drive shift fill rate improvements, build better onboarding experiences to increase worker conversion, and more
• Design, architect, and build highly-performant and reliable technical features, tools, and services using Node.js, React/React Native, Mongo, Python, GCP, Javascript
• Drive the technical vision, influence product strategy, and conduct regular technical reviews
• Monitor and maintain the performance of our product and platform in a high user volume, two-sided marketplace environment to resolve issues and clear the shift marketplace
• Serve as a mentor for junior engineers and participate in scaling our team

• Core competency with our tech stack: Javascript/Typescript, Python, Node.js, React Native and more
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Core competency with Python, Javascript, NodeJS
• Enjoy working cross-functionally with leadership, PMs, designers, and other engineers to build products across a modern tech stack (MERN)
