Software Engineer, Developer Success

Discord's Developer Success team builds tools for game developers to harness the power of Discord from within their games, focusing on making gaming more social. The role involves building features across Discord's app, developer portal, APIs, realtime infrastructure, and Social SDK.

• Building features for game developers across the Discord app, developer portal, APIs, realtime infrastructure, and Social SDK.
• Collaborating with other engineers to write, review, and ship elegant and scalable code.
• Owning projects end-to-end, from initial design through post-launch, breaking high-level ideas into concrete tasks.
• Listening and working with game developer partners to understand their needs and improve features.
• Working with product managers, designers, and partner managers to find the way forward through ambiguity.
• Using attention to detail to continually raise the quality bar of the software.

• At least 1-3 years experience as a software engineer.
• Experience with game development.
• Experience with some parts of our tech stack: Python, Elixir, Rust, Typescript/React, or C++.
• A sense for product and design.
• A growth mindset and willingness to learn new things.
• Actively leverages AI coding tools to accelerate productivity.

• US base salary range $160,000 to $180,000 + equity + benefits
