Software Development Engineer

Join Adobe's Cloud Platform & Collaboration team to build next-gen cloud services and web components for asset management and collaboration. The role involves working in full-stack squads, composing scalable APIs and GraphQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Compose scalable, high-performance APIs and GraphQL queries in our Java and Node.js web services, addressing challenges around performance, scalability, consistency, and data durability
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Platform teams to ship high-quality, well-aligned experiences in our reusable web components
• Work with front-end and back-end engineers to define and refine API contracts
• Use modern practices and AI-assisted tooling to keep iteration tight and quality high. Own parts of the system end-to-end, from design through production
• Help shape the team's technical direction through design reviews, prototypes, and candid debate

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping non-trivial systems to production (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, or Java preferred)
• Basic understanding of UI frameworks — layout, rendering, theming, or performance
• Passion for solving complex problems while keeping software fast, reliable, and maintainable
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with comfort giving and taking direct feedback
• Nice to have: Experimenting with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code)
