Senior Engineering Manager (Core Retrieval Platform)

monday.com is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Core Retrieval Platform group, ensuring all data in monday is available for consumption in a single place with strict freshness, latency, and quality guarantees. The role is based in Warsaw and involves managing Team Leaders, defining technical strategy, and advancing data retrieval capabilities.

• Own the mission and outcomes of the Core Retrieval Platform group
• Work with critical stakeholders across the organization to enable advancement of rapidly evolving products with highest sense of urgency
• Deeply understand and constantly improve data retrieval capabilities for real world usecases and consumption models
• Work with the Group Tech Lead to define technical strategy, and translate that into actionable scopes of work for each team
• Manage and develop Team Leaders, supporting their growth and ensuring cross-team alignment
• Understand the platform's architecture, usage patterns, and product context deeply and identify the next set of problems worth solving

• Strong distributed systems understanding with deep background in application and infrastructure optimizations
• Familiarity with large scale production-grade data processing challenges
• Senior engineering management experience - managed Team Leaders and Senior Technical Leaders, and knows how to develop people who run complex technical domains
• A problem-solver who understands reality: understands the system, organizational constraints, and implements engineering-creative approaches that actually ship
• Experience owning end-to-end complex architecture delivery - not just running organizational ceremonies, but defining what needs to be built and why
