Middle Backend Engineer (Golang+PHP)

Join SIXT's Revenue Management engineering team to rebuild a legacy pricing platform from the ground up. You will design and build scalable services, work with Go and PHP, and own your services end-to-end. This is a greenfield opportunity with global impact.

• Build and maintain scalable services and integrations
• Design solutions to solve complex problems in legacy and data-intensive systems
• Write clean, tested code and perform code reviews
• Own your services: “You build it, you run it.”
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders

• 4-5 years experience with Go, PHP.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, and experience with working with legacy code
• Strong SQL skills (with PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Unit & integration testing, familiarity with XML, JSON, YAML
• Version control: Git.
• Agentic coding experience
• Upper-Intermediate English.
• Symfony, frontend frameworks (React, ExtJS, jQuery)
• Microservices, goMicro, REST/gRPC APIs, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Cloud Experience, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Instana)
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and frameworks for data-intensive applications.
• Performance optimization and load testing.
• Security/authentication: OAuth2, JWT, Keycloak
