Senior Front-End Engineer

Rumble is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to evolve and scale core web experiences across its platform, including video pages and short-form content. This senior individual contributor role focuses on modernizing front-end architecture using Lit and TypeScript.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end systems
• Contribute to migration from legacy PHP to modern web component-based architecture using Lit and TypeScript
• Develop reusable, modular components with focus on performance and cross-device compatibility
• Work with design and product to break down ambiguous requirements
• Optimize application performance across load time, rendering, and runtime efficiency
• Collaborate on API integration across REST, GraphQL, and real-time data interfaces
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of development practices

• Strong front-end engineering experience with deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of browser fundamentals including DOM, Shadow DOM, rendering pipelines
• Experience with modern front-end architectures and tooling
• Hands-on experience with component-driven development, ideally with Lit or similar web component libraries
• Ability to translate design specifications into performant UI implementations
• Experience integrating with APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working in small, fast-moving teams
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
