Javascript Technical Lead - m/w/d

Optimus Search is hiring a JavaScript Tech Lead in Munich. You will lead a team of JavaScript engineers, define the technology roadmap, design scalable fullstack architectures, and mentor developers for an award-winning digital consultancy.

• Provide technical leadership for a team of JavaScript engineers alongside other Tech Leads
• Define and evolve the JavaScript technology roadmap
• Design scalable, cloud-native fullstack architectures
• Lead code reviews and establish engineering best practices
• Mentor developers through coaching, technical guidance and regular 1:1s
• Solve complex technical challenges across multiple client engagements
• Support technical pre-sales activities and client workshops
• Improve application performance, scalability and development processes
• Organise internal knowledge sharing, technical talks and community events
• Support hiring and technical interviews for JavaScript engineers

• Strong commercial experience building fullstack JavaScript applications
• Expert knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Excellent experience with Node.js and at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue.js or Angular)
• Experience designing cloud-based distributed systems
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Previous technical leadership, mentoring or coaching experience
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise clients in a consultancy environment
• German (C1+) and English (B2+)

• Salary of up to €100,000
