Front End Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Front End Developer I to join our dynamic IT team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features for our web applications. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to create seamless, responsive, and engaging digital experiences.

• Develop, implement, and maintain user-facing features for web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design prototypes into functional web pages
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Contribute to the development of front-end architecture and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging front-end technologies and industry trends
• Document technical specifications, development processes, and project progress clearly and thoroughly
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues reported by users or internal teams

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or a related field (or significant practical experience)
• Strong portfolio showcasing involvement in at least three web applications
• Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with dynamically typed languages like JavaScript and TypeScript
• Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and front-end frameworks such as React and Redux
• Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS
• Cross-browser compatibility and responsive mobile design knowledge
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Experience with build tools such as NodeJS, NPM, and webpack
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Ability to work under supervision and obtain security clearance if necessary
