Technical Lead

Principal Technical Lead role at an Australian technology company, providing technical direction across Azure cloud platform while remaining hands-on in full-stack engineering with .NET and React/TypeScript.

• Design, build and evolve a cloud-native Azure platform that supports business-critical applications.
• Own the technical direction across cloud infrastructure, application architecture and engineering standards.
• Deliver hands-on development across modern .NET backend services and React/TypeScript front-end applications.
• Build and maintain APIs and integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and establish best practices across the development team.
• Drive improvements around reliability, scalability, security, observability and software quality.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design and architectural guidance.
• Partner closely with Solution Architecture and Engineering Leadership to influence long-term technology decisions.

• Azure networking and enterprise cloud environments
• Modern .NET development
• React and TypeScript
• REST APIs and microservices
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar
• DevOps, SRE and observability practices
• AI-assisted software engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Experience integrating enterprise business platforms or ERP systems would be highly regarded
