Tech Lead AQA

Nayax is looking for a QA Tech Lead to lead automation efforts across multiple projects in the retail market. The role involves mentoring, framework design, and driving automation strategy.

• Conduct reviews and mentoring of QA automation engineers across 5–7 projects
• Review testing automation processes
• Define and drive automation strategy
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to QA Automation engineers
• Conduct code/design reviews and drive engineering best practices

• 7+ years of experience in Test Automation, including experience in a Senior/Lead/Tech Lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and solid software engineering skills
• Strong experience with pytest, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks
• Strong experience with UI, API and E2E test automation; experience with Playwright and/or similar modern automation tools
• Solid experience with mobile/Android automation, preferably Appium, including testing on real devices and/or emulators
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture: framework design, reusable components, fixtures, test data management, reporting, parallel execution, stability and maintainability
• Strong practical experience with CI/CD and test infrastructure, preferably Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes; ability to troubleshoot complex CI/test-environment issues
• Ability to define and drive automation strategy: identify what should be automated, improve regression coverage, reduce flaky tests and execution time, and continuously improve the automation ecosystem
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across application, automation, infrastructure and environment layers
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to QA Automation engineers, conducting code/design reviews and driving engineering best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work closely with Developers, DevOps, Product and QA teams and take technical ownership of QA initiatives
• Experience with SQL and backend/service-level testing
• Experience with AI-assisted / Agentic test automation, LLM-based tools, test generation, self-healing or AI-assisted framework maintenance
