Middle Software Engineer (Integrations)

AgileEngine is an award-winning software development company seeking a Software Engineer for their Integrations team. The role focuses on building and scaling backend integrations between a public safety platform and third-party tools like 911 call centers and state databases, using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and third-party client systems
• Develop integration workflows using modern integration platforms and custom services with Java
• Enhance Records Management System (RMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Booking products with scalable integration capabilities
• Design secure, reusable, and well-architected cloud-based integration solutions
• Write tests, debug production issues, and improve system quality and reliability
• Contribute to technical documentation and automated build and deployment processes that improve engineering efficiency
• Participate in code reviews and contribute through a pull request-based development process
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver robust integration solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Java and the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot
• Experience designing and building integrations with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL
• Familiarity with database technologies and proficiency with SQL
• Experience with automated testing and Agile development methodologies
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build cooperative working relationships with teammates
• Upper-intermediate English level
