Frontend Engineer

The role owns the frontend architecture for a customer-facing web application used daily by hundreds of thousands of users, including component design, state management, performance optimization, and build tooling.

• Build and maintain complex, reusable React components and design system primitives used across the product surface
• Own client-side architecture decisions: state management (Redux, Zustand, or React Query), routing, data fetching, and caching strategies
• Optimize bundle size, load times, and runtime performance using tools like Lighthouse, Webpack/Vite, and real-user monitoring data
• Implement responsive, accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) interfaces from Figma designs, collaborating directly with designers on feasibility and polish
• Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling auth, error states, optimistic updates, and real-time data via WebSockets
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest and React Testing Library; maintain CI pipelines that catch regressions before production
• Participate in code reviews, RFC discussions, and technical design documents that shape team-wide frontend standards

• 3+ years of professional frontend engineering experience shipping production web applications
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React (hooks, context, suspense patterns)
• Hands-on experience with state management solutions and data-fetching libraries (React Query, Redux Toolkit, or similar)
• Strong CSS fundamentals and experience with modern styling approaches (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or CSS Modules)
• Familiarity with build tooling (Vite, Webpack, Turborepo) and browser performance profiling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
