Senior Software Engineer (Go, Python)

Our Client is a leading VC-backed defense technology company. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Legion Platform team, designing, building and deploying high-performance scalable server systems that connect hardware and software for real-world military missions.

• Design, build, and deploy high-performance scalable server systems and integration tools
• Design and implement event-driven data pipelines
• Develop robust testing and monitoring frameworks to ensure system reliability and mission readiness
• Write clear, maintainable technical documentation
• Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems
• Deep expertise with Go (primary language) and Python
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
• Strong understanding of RDBMS like PostgreSQL and message brokers like RabbitMQ
• Experience creating REST APIs and gRPC/Protobuf services
• Experience with building observability into systems (Prometheus/Grafana)
• Deep knowledge of Linux and networking
• Strong understanding of microservices concepts and distributed systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
• Upper-intermediate English (B2+)
