Offensive Software Engineer (591679)

The Defensie Cyber Commando is looking for a talented Offensive Software Engineer to strengthen its development team. You will build innovative solutions critical to operational success, including malware and tools used by Cyber Teams. The role involves collaborating with smart colleagues to develop groundbreaking products in offensive cyber operations.

• Develop innovative solutions for offensive cyber operations.
• Build malware and tools for Multidisciplinary Cyber Teams (MDCTs).
• Collaborate with colleagues to create impactful products in malware and tooling development.
• Translate customer needs into technical specifications for offensive cyber tooling.
• Initiate and execute small to medium software projects.
• Conduct research and development projects to improve malware products.
• Test and verify the functionality of software products.
• Research and reverse engineer software and malware.

• Strong foundation in software engineering through education or work experience.
• Experience programming in multiple languages such as C/C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with assembly and systems programming (low-level computing).
• Experience developing malware techniques.
• Deep knowledge of network protocol operations.
• Understanding of cryptography and its applicability.
• Knowledge of operating system internals.
• Experience debugging and reverse engineering software.
• Understanding of CI/CD systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
