Security Engineer Firewall

As a Security Engineer at Simac, you will ensure the safety of IT services through firewall management and work closely with a team of security engineers, network experts, and delivery managers. The role involves automation of tasks, active communication with team members, and handling various security projects.

• Manage and oversee thousands of firewalls
• Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders for incident response
• Participate in migration projects and system upgrades
• Engage in small replacement and large upgrade projects

• Experience as a security engineer in complex IT environments
• Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Relevant experience and certifications such as CCNA or Fortinet NSE
• Ability to work with Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD, and Git
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English
