Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at IG&H, you will be responsible for complex data platforms, determining the technical direction within projects, and helping clients translate data architecture into scalable solutions. You will play a leading role in enhancing data architecture, handling, and automation capabilities, and design robust and efficient data solutions.

• Designing, building, and monitoring reusable data models and data architectures.
• Developing complex data pipelines, including ETL/ELT processes.
• Designing and optimizing data lakes and data warehouses.
• Operationalizing and translating analytical methods and data science solutions into production-ready applications.
• Designing, configuring, and managing necessary cloud infrastructure with attention to performance, security, and scalability.

• BSc or MSc in a technical field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar senior data/engineering role, preferably in a consulting role.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, Python, and data-processing frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas.
• Extensive experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing and building scalable data architectures (e.g., data lakes and data warehouses).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and associated DevOps/CI-CD processes.
