Software Engineer

As a software engineer at Equans, you will be the technical key player in projects involving PLC software development from design to delivery. You will work on translating functional designs into robust software, while identifying technical risks early and ensuring project progress.

• Translating functional designs into robust software that works consistently
• Identifying technical risks early and making necessary adjustments
• Building, checking, and maintaining PLC software based on design documents
• Choosing standards and integrating them into application design
• Monitoring project progress regarding time budget and planning and reporting to the project lead
• Checking proper execution or assisting with acceptance tests and authorizing applications for commissioning
• Supporting less experienced colleagues technically
• Improving tools, methods, and processes

• HBO work and/or thinking level
• Experience with industrial automation and PLC software development
• Knowledge of PLC systems such as Codesys, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar
• Knowledge of SCADA systems
• Motivation to work with new technology
• Experience with process automation in HVAC systems and/or industrial installations
• Experience with data connections (Modbus, Profibus, Dali, OPC, or similar)
• Communicative skills in Dutch and English
• Strong analytical skills
• Desire for continuous personal development and enjoyment in mentoring others

• Salary between € 3.626 and € 5.638 gross per month, based on 40 hours
• Vacation pay of 8%
