DevOps Engineer (AWS, Terraform)

Web Design Sun is a remote-first company building scalable international products in SaaS, Cloud, and E-commerce domains, working with clients across the US and Europe. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise and strong theoretical grounding in system design to build, scale, and maintain infrastructure.

• Design and manage AWS-based infrastructure
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Support high-load, distributed systems
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with backend and product teams
• Proactively improve infrastructure and processes

• Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture
• Strong understanding of System Design
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems
• Strong understanding of High-load systems
• Strong understanding of trade-offs in infrastructure decisions
• Theoretical foundation: ACID / BASE
• Theoretical foundation: CAP / PACELC (especially in infra & DB context)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC)
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
• Hands-on experience with Python (automation, scripting)
• High level of ownership and proactivity
• English — B1+, Ukrainian/Russian — C1+/Native
• Residence outside Russia, Belarus & Ukraine
