Senior Software Engineer

At Ficus Health we’re building for the hospital of the future. Using the latest innovations in artificial intelligence, we craft tools that empower doctors to focus on what matters most and spend more time with their patients. You’ll join a team of seasoned experts building our product and take on responsibility from day one.

• Discover and deliver our product in collaboration with the CTO and the product managers
• Design, develop, deploy and operate our frontend & backend applications
• Integrate & refine cutting-edge speech-to-text and large language AI models
• Design and build a framework for automated prompt refinement
• Be involved in architectural and infrastructure decision-making

• Proven track record of building successful web applications (frontend and backend)
• Senior level experience with React/Next.js
• Senior level experience of at least one Python-based backend framework (Django Rest Framework, FastAPI, Flask)
• Solid DevOps and infrastructure knowledge (Terraform, k8s, Docker, AWS)
• Solid knowledge about using, integrating and deploying speech-to-text models and LLMS (managed service & self-hosting)
• Solid experience with using AI tools for dev work
• Product mindset: we use technology as a means to an end, and that is building great products
• Experience with working in a highly dynamic early-stage startup
• Pragmatic, hands-on mentality
• Willingness to learn and experiment
• Strong communication skills in English
