Senior Software Engineer – Vessel Operating System

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will shape the core platform that powers autonomous and remotely operated vessels worldwide by building the Vessel Operating System (VOS). You provide technical leadership within a multidisciplinary engineering team and develop event-driven, pub/sub communication layers to enable safe and reliable vessel operations.

• 6+ years of experience building distributed or real-time systems
• Deep knowledge of programming languages such as C++ and C#/.NET
• Experience in safety-critical environments
• Strong architectural skills
• Understanding of control system patterns and messaging
• Fluency in networking fundamentals—TCP/UDP, QoS, routing
• Familiarity with industrial and maritime protocols such as NMEA 0183/2000, CAN/J1939, and Modbus
