Software Engineer (d/f/m) Cabin & Cargo Electronics

• Designing, developing, and verifying safety-critical embedded software for aircraft systems
• Developing software for camera control, video processing, and data streaming
• Creating low-level drivers and board support packages (BSPs)
• Defining and documenting software requirements, architecture, and detailed designs
• Implementing and executing software test cases and procedures
• Managing the full software lifecycle documentation in accordance with aviation standards
• Collaborating daily with a multi-disciplinary team
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of software development processes

• A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++
• Experience with Python or Java is a plus
• Proven experience developing for embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto, Debian)
• Experience in working on tools like DOORS, ClearCase and ClearQuest
• Hands-on experience in software development for camera systems or image sensors
• Experience in video processing, encoding/decoding (e.g., H.264/H.265)
• Understanding of safety-critical development lifecycles; experience with DO-178B/C is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Jenkins)
• Excellent communication skills in English
