Software Engineer III, Laptops and Tablets Infrastructure

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to work on the Laptops and Tablets Infrastructure team, focusing on the end-to-end infrastructure for ChromeOS built on Android. The role involves developing full stack web applications, backend systems, pipelines, and tools, with opportunities to apply AI to improve system intelligence and solve infrastructure problems.

• Develop full stack web applications, backend systems, pipelines, or tools across varied codebases.
• Focus on the team mission and flexibly go where needed to make an impact for internal users and external partners.
• Develop ways to apply AI to increase team velocity, make our systems work more intelligently, and solve infra-related problems for our users.
• Work on Integration testing, process automation, monitoring, and bug fixing.
• Collaborate across teams as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 2 years of experience with software development using Java , Go or Python or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Experience with databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
• Experience with software design and architecture.
