Senior Back End Engineer

ZeroTier leads in next-generation connectivity and cybersecurity. We're looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer with expertise in architecting and implementing core features of our distributed and cloud-based Central Management Portal, contributing to both backend and frontend as needed.

• Build, ship and iterate on API endpoints and backend services in Go
• Own the design and evolution of the public and internal APIs
• Collaborate closely with other engineers to power user experiences in our Central Portal
• Develop and operate backend systems using PostgreSQL, PubSub, and OpenFGA
• Improve and maintain our CI/CD pipelines and observability
• Act as a senior technical reference in the team

• Senior level experience building and owning distributed systems at scale
• Advanced knowledge of Go service development and backend best practices
• Experience integrating with and extending backend REST APIs
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
