API Developer

As an API Developer at Schouten Zekerheid, you work on the technical foundation of modern applications and integrations, developing APIs that connect systems, applications, and external partners securely and reliably. You are involved in API documentation, testing, and integrations with external systems.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs
• Improve existing services
• Help centralize business logic
• Actively participate in technical choices, standards, and improvements within the platform

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a backend developer
• Experience with Laravel and PHP
• Knowledge of REST APIs, versioning, and contract-first approach
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, caching, and scalability
• Interest in architecture and service-based solutions
• Experience with integrations and external data streams
• An mbo or hbo background in IT or software development
