UX Designer

We are looking for a UX Designer to contribute to customer-facing digital channels within ABN AMRO. In this role, you will work on a variety of UX design initiatives related to areas such as investments, retirement planning, and payments, while managing multiple design tasks in parallel.

• Design intuitive user experiences for complex financial products and services
• Translate complexity into simple, user-centered digital solutions
• Apply UX methods such as user research, prototyping, usability testing, and validation to support evidence-based design decisions
• Work within and contribute to the organization’s design system to ensure a consistent omnichannel experience
• Design solutions within regulatory, accessibility, technical, and security constraints typical for a banking environment
• Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and stakeholders across disciplines
• Manage multiple design assignments simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Digital Design, or a related field
• Solid understanding of core UX principles, including user-centered design, usability, information architecture, and interaction design
• Experience applying UX research methods such as interviews, usability testing, and concept validation
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
• Familiarity with cognitive ergonomics and visual design fundamentals
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong design craftsmanship
• Proficiency in Figma for creating high-quality and well-structured design deliverables
• Experience working with and contributing to design systems
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, industry standards, and technical constraints for both web and mobile applications
• Ability to work within regulatory, compliance, and security frameworks in a banking environment
• Affinity with complex financial products and digital banking services, or the ability to quickly build this understanding

• 3-month contract with possible extension
• 36-hour work week
• Gross monthly salary between €4,100.04 and €5,840.00 based on 36 hours, depending on experience
