Software Engineer, Data Platform

World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. We are more than 400 people across hardware, software, AI, and more. This role involves maintaining and evolving the data platform powering our AI pipelines, combining backend development, data engineering, infrastructure, and lightweight frontend work.

• Design and operate automated data quality pipelines
• Develop and refine transformation processes for clean datasets
• Instrument systems with metrics, alerts, and recovery mechanisms
• Build APIs and backend services for secure access to datasets
• Raise engineering standards by improving CI/CD pipelines
• Own the lifecycle of critical data assets

• 5+ years of proficiency in Python
• Experience designing and building APIs
• Comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experienced with AWS services (S3, KMS, IAM)
• Skilled in designing data ingestion and transformation workflows
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
