The Scientific Software Developer (Python, AI‑Assisted Development) designs and owns customer‑specific Python software solutions for the Genedata Expressionist enterprise software platform, focusing on mass‑spectrometry‑driven biopharma R&D workflows.

• Translate customer and business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Design and implement robust, production‑quality software solutions using Python and existing platform APIs.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow, applying sound judgment to validate design decisions and ensure long‑term quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with scientists, application experts, and fellow engineers to ensure solutions address real‑world use cases.
• Act as a role model within the team by demonstrating strong ownership, a focus on quality, and collaborative working practices.

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Physics, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with at least 3 years of professional experience building production‑quality software with a strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/LLM‑based developer tools and the ability to critically review, validate, and refine AI‑generated code.
• Experience working with data‑intensive or scientific software systems, ideally in the context of mass spectrometry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
