Software Engineer, Trust

Notion is looking for software engineers who are excited to make trust and security a core part of how Notion scales. The role involves building authentication, AI-powered risk detection, and AI safety controls.

• Build authentication and other product features that make Notion safe and secure by default
• Build scalable, AI-powered systems to detect, investigate, and mitigate risks across Notion
• Shape the future of AI safety at Notion by building controls and guardrails for Notion AI
• Partner across Trust & Safety, Engineering, Security, Legal, Data, and Product

• 5–8 years of experience building or securing products
• Domain Expertise: experience and strong passion for trust, safety, authentication, security, or privacy
• Ownership and initiative: thrive in a fast-moving, unstructured environment and comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems
• Team player: enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals
• Experience using AI (LLMs and/or classical ML) to solve trust or security problems at scale (nice to have)
• Experience building AI-enabled applications in production (nice to have)
• Proficient with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Dynamo, Memcached (nice to have)
