Senior Software Engineer (x|f|m)

For the Process Automation Enablement area, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH. In this role, you will take responsibility for our central Biobrain® Platform Configuration Toolset and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality development for our Bioprocess solutions.

• Gather, analyze, and translate complex software requirements in collaboration with Product Management and Product Development stakeholders
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable software components using prototyping
• Implement high‑quality, efficient, and readable code following coding standards
• Create and maintain design, functional, and test documentation
• Implement and maintain automated unit and regression tests
• Validate software functionality and interaction with hardware interfaces

• Completed Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Proven multi-year experience in developing complex commercial software products
• Expert‑level programming skills in .NET, C#, WPF, TypeScript, React
• Strong object‑oriented design and software engineering skills
• Experience across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle
• Experience developing software in regulated environments
• Interest in AI-assisted software development tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
