Software Engineer

Just Eat Takeaway.com is a global online delivery platform connecting customers with their favorite food. As a Software Engineer, you'll build scalable systems handling refunds, cancellations, and customer communications using modern architectures and technologies.

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend microservices
• Collaborate with product managers, specialists, and developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs
• Drive engineering excellence by producing clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews
• Optimize architecture for maximum speed and scalability
• Take full ownership of new features
• Embrace and drive the adoption of Agentic AI tools

• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles, design patterns, best coding practices
• Proven experience of software engineering in Java or C#
• Experience with enterprise frameworks such as Spring or .Net
• Experience with databases like MySQL or DynamoDB
• Understanding of version control systems like Git
• Awareness of continuous delivery in cloud infrastructure using Docker, K8s, AWS
• Familiarity with event streaming frameworks like Kafka or SQS
