Senior Backend Developer (m/w/d) – remote

Cito is developing CERA AI, an AI agent that automates logistics processes. The role involves owning core parts of the AI architecture, designing scalable AI systems, and ensuring the reliability and quality of AI outputs.

• Ownership for central parts of our AI architecture
• Design and develop scalable AI agent systems
• Ensure reliability & quality of AI outputs
• Develop our LLM systems
• Build observability & evaluation frameworks
• Work closely with Business & Product to deliver real impact

• 6–8+ years experience in Software Engineering
• Strong Python skills (Django or comparable)
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude etc.)
• AI system design
• Evaluation methods & observability
• Ability to make reliable AI systems and decisions between speed & quality
