DevOps Engineer (Marketplace)

Biohackers World is a leading US‑based health and wellness company, hosting conferences and expo, bringing together science, wellness, and community. We are looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and day‑to‑day operation of our fast-growing marketplace store platform.

• Design, provision, and maintain highly available cloud environments on AWS.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Build and optimize end‑to‑end pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Automate testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows for microservices, containers, and serverless functions.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS).
• Manage Helm charts, and observability stacks.
• Set up metrics, logs, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry).
• Define alerting policies, run post‑mortems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Integrate secret management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager) and enforce least‑privilege IAM policies.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and ensure PCI‑DSS / GDPR compliance for payment flows.
• Profile platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement auto‑scaling strategies.
• Optimize cloud spend through right‑sizing, reserved instances, and spot‑instance usage.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with developers to embed DevOps practices early in the SDLC.
• Maintain clear runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge‑base articles.

• 3+ years managing production workloads on AWS, or GCP, Azure.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform (or equivalent) and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (cluster ops, networking, storage).
• Building robust pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Proven experience configuring, upgrading, and maintaining SaaS/e‑commerce or marketplace software in production.
• Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Loki, and distributed tracing.
• Understanding of secret management, IAM, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks.
• Comfortable reading/writing code in Python, Go, or JavaScript for automation.
• Excellent communication, and thrive in cross‑functional teams.
