Middle Network Engineer

Proxy-Seller is a European product IT company providing proxy services for automation, parsing, marketing, and cybersecurity. They are looking for a Middle Network Engineer for their Procurement Department.

• Performing shift handover procedures and continuous monitoring of tasks, tickets, and incidents
• Configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance of proxy servers.
• Deploying new servers: configuring network interfaces, system tuning, installing services, and configuring firewall.
• Diagnosing and resolving server and proxy service failures to minimize downtime.
• Working with logs to generate traffic reports, identify violators via abuse reports, and continuous monitoring.
• Supporting mobile proxies, including monitoring modem and aggregator status, managing IP changes, and performing diagnostics.
• Effective communication with hosters and service providers for timely and complete incident resolution.
• Documenting solutions and important cases in our knowledge base to enhance team learning and efficiency.

• Experience in configuring, upgrading, and administering Linux-based servers (Debian mandatory, also other OS) for at least 3 years
• Strong understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, routing, iptables/firewall, and DNS.
• Understanding of proxy protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5), as they are core to our services.
• Ability to read technical documentation in English to stay updated on industry standards and product specifications.
• Understanding of VPN and ability to work with it, preferably with practical experience, to manage secure connections.
• Experience in log analysis using grep, awk, and zcat for effective system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AI tools and understanding how to use them for faster problem-solving and efficiency, as this is becoming a must-have skill.
• Basic Docker skills, including container management, restart, and diagnostics, to support our containerized applications.
• Experience with proxy servers.
