Senior Software Engineer - K8s Operator

Design and build Kubernetes Operators in Go to automate the full lifecycle of the Dynatrace platform. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate components into a unified automation-first platform model. Leverage AI-assisted engineering and observability insights for autonomous operations. Requires deep expertise in Golang and Kubernetes.

• Design and build Kubernetes Operators in Go that automate the full lifecycle of the Dynatrace platform - covering installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing operations - enabling a fully self-service and hands-off experience for users.
• Own the end-to-end developer and operator experience, ensuring that running Dynatrace in Kubernetes environments is simple, reliable, and consistent across diverse customer setups.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams across Dynatrace to integrate their components into a unified, automation-first platform model, ensuring every part of the system can be deployed and operated without manual intervention.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering and observability insights to enable more autonomous, adaptive, and self-optimizing platform operations.
• Continuously improve the reliability, observability, and resilience of the Operator, ensuring safe rollouts, automated recovery, and predictable behavior at scale.

• A background in Software Engineering or related technical studies.
• 3+ years of experience in Golang, with a strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Passion for building high-performance, scalable algorithms and working with modern technologies in the cloud-native space.
