Shopify App Developer

We are hiring for our client, a custom software development company with a presence across the US, UK, Netherlands, Egypt, and UAE, for a Shopify App Developer role. This is a fully remote role open worldwide. We are looking for someone with deep experience in the Shopify ecosystem, specifically building custom apps, extensions, and API-driven solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify apps (public and private)
• Build Shopify extensions (checkout UI, post-purchase, admin extensions)
• Work with Shopify Admin API (GraphQL and REST), Storefront API, and webhooks
• Develop embedded apps using App Bridge and Polaris
• Implement OAuth flows, billing integrations, and app lifecycle management
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Ensure performance, security, and compliance with Shopify standards
• Stay up to date with Shopify platform updates and new capabilities

• 3+ years of experience developing Shopify apps
• Strong knowledge of Shopify Admin API
• GraphQL (preferred) and Storefront API
• Experience building Shopify extensions and working with Shopify Functions
• Proficiency with Shopify CLI
• App Bridge, and modern Node.js/React stacks
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React skills
• Experience with OAuth session tokens, and Shopify billing API
• Understanding of webhooks, event-driven architecture, and background processing
• Familiarity with the Shopify app review process

• Salary: Up to $3,500K a month, depending on experience
