Senior Infrastructure, Reliability Engineer

VIATEC is a market leader in innovative solutions in video surveillance, security systems, and energy. We are looking for a strong Senior / Lead engineer who can take responsibility for the stability and development of complex, high-load infrastructure.

• Supporting and developing high-load infrastructure
• Analyzing and resolving incidents in production
• Conducting root cause analysis
• Conducting deep diagnostics of networks, servers, services
• Supporting HA solutions and fault-tolerant systems
• Working with logs, metrics, alerts
• Supporting and optimizing Proxmox clusters
• Documenting complex systems
• Improving stability and performance of systems

• Deep knowledge of networks
• VLAN, bonding, TCP/IP, routing, NAT
• VPN (IPsec, GRE), tunneling
• Troubleshooting tools: tcpdump, traceroute, iperf, etc
• Understanding MTU, packet loss, latency
• Experience with MikroTik routers
• Deep administration of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Debian)
• Performance troubleshooting (CPU, RAM, Disk, IO)
• systemd / journald
• Bash scripting
• Working with hardware (iDRAC or analogues)
• Experience with Proxmox VE (VM, LXC, cluster, migration, backup)
• Understanding of HA, failover, replication
• Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Performance analysis
• Experience with ElasticSearch / Big Data
• Knowledge of monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
