**The Memory tab** in Chrome DevTools shows how a web page uses RAM, and helps find memory leaks, excess objects, and inefficient resource management.

### What you can do:

#### 1. **Heap snapshot**

- Takes a snapshot of current memory: objects, references, arrays, strings
- Shows which objects take up the most space
- Useful for finding memory leaks (objects that "hang around" in memory even though they are no longer needed)

#### 2. **Allocation instrumentation on timeline**

- Starts a recording, tracks all allocations over time
- Shows which functions create objects
- Helps find "churn": objects that get created again and again

#### 3. **Allocation sampling**

- A quick estimate of which object types consume the most memory
- Suited for quick diagnostics without full tracing
