Senior Node.js Software Engineer

About the Position

SoftServe is a global digital solutions company focusing on delivering next-generation, cloud-first trading solutions. They are looking for a backend-oriented Node.js Engineer with 5+ years of experience to build and modernize trading systems.

Responsibilities7

• Build backend services and applications from scratch for a next-generation trading platform
• Participate in architecture and technology decision-making processes
• Own the full development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and client stakeholders
• Develop high-performance backend microservices supporting trading operations
• Contribute to building an advanced Order Management System (OMS) for institutional trading
• Share knowledge within the team and continuously improve engineering practices

Requirements10

• 5+ years of commercial experience in software development
• Experience in building production systems using Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, GraphQL
• Skilled in working with NoSQL databases such as Redis
• Familiar with messaging systems such as Kafka
• Confident with AWS and other public cloud providers
• Knowledgeable in PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Familiar with Kubernetes and troubleshooting cloud environments using tools like Grafana
• Knowledgeable in event-driven architecture, event sourcing, and microservices communication patterns
• Experience in building concurrent and high-performance applications
• Fluent in English at an upper-intermediate level
