Dev Ops Engineer

About the Position

The Dev/Ops Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting internal systems across the organization. This role bridges development and operations, ensuring data reliability, streamlining automation, and facilitating seamless system interoperability.

Responsibilities12

• Design, build, manage, and optimize REST and SOAP API integrations
• Maintain robust authentication, error handling, and monitoring across all integrations
• Document integration workflows and enforce best-practice security standards
• Design and maintain SQL tables, views, stored procedures, and database schemas
• Optimize query performance and troubleshoot data integrity issues
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related services
• Implement ETL/ELT workflows for both internal and external systems
• Monitor pipeline performance, handle failures, manage alerts, and optimize throughput
• Troubleshoot and support existing code and integrations, including JavaScript and PHP
• Identify manual processes and automate them using scripts, APIs, and Azure services
• Maintain CI/CD processes for integrations and scripts via Azure Pipelines
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Leadership teams to define requirements and deliver solutions

Requirements8

• Functional proficiency in JavaScript and PHP
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP API design, authentication protocols, and JSON/XML formats
• Expertise in SQL development, database schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL platforms
• Required experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Skill in monitoring pipelines, debugging failures, and optimizing performance
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis across APIs, pipelines, data models, and codebases
• Thorough understanding of integration architecture and operational reliability
