AI Engineer

About the Position

At SpicyChat, we’re on a mission to build the best uncensored role-playing agent in the world. We are looking for a Mid-Senior AI Engineer ready to bridge the gap between coding and architecture, ensuring that our AI services are not just functional, but scalable, elegant, and maintainable.

Responsibilities6

• Take ownership of new & legacy service components.
• Draft technical designs for common services and lead them through to production delivery.
• Identify 'technical debt' within our existing AI and backend pipelines and lead efforts to clean, modularise, and optimise code.
• Integrate and fine-tune the interface between our products and LLMs.
• Build robust backend APIs in Python and seamless integrations in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Use SQL and PySpark to analyse how services perform and iterate on designs.

Requirements6

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience taking a feature from a vague requirement to a finished architectural design.
• Experience in improving existing systems without breaking production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with PySpark or similar big data tools.
• Experience integrating pre-trained models via APIs or open-source frameworks.
