Front-end Engineer

HelloGov AI is a fast-growing gov-tech company transforming how people navigate government services through AI. They are seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to build AI-enhanced user interfaces for their website, checkout flows, and portals. The role involves working with Next.js, React, and TypeScript in an on-site team in Miami.

• Build and maintain modern web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable, reusable front-end architecture and UI components.
• Create responsive, accessible user interfaces from Figma designs.
• Build dynamic workflows and document-driven user experiences.
• Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop real-time features using WebSockets.
• Support AI-powered customer experiences and workflows.
• Maintain authentication and authorization with Auth0.
• Deploy applications in Vercel and monitor performance with Sentry.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Own features from development through production deployment.

• 3+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Strong experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience building and deploying production web applications.
• Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with responsive design, reusable components, and design systems.
• Familiarity with Auth0 or OAuth authentication.
• Experience with GitHub and modern development workflows.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Available to work on-site in our Brickell, Miami office Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• Experience with Node.js or NestJS.
• Experience with WebSockets or Socket.io.
• Experience using Figma.
• Experience with Vercel, Sentry, Puppeteer, Mailgun, or EasyPost.
• Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLM APIs.
• Experience with PHP frameworks
