Fullstack Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the accounting product
- Work on the integration layer between Collective and partners (extend APIs, handle edge cases, improve data reliability)
- Improve the transaction pipeline from bank feeds through accounting platform into data layer
- Own well-scoped features end-to-end with support from senior engineers
- Partner with Product, Design, and Operations to translate accounting workflows into clean software
- Use AI-powered development tools day-to-day to move faster and cut manual overhead
- Demonstrate clear communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrate ability to integrate AI agents and automation into development workflows and product features
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience building and shipping production software in a product-focused environment
- Fullstack engineering skills (Python, Django, React, or similar modern frameworks)
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and working with messy, real-world data
- Hands-on use of AI developer tools (copilots, code agents) in day-to-day workflow
- Ability to take a well-scoped problem and drive it to a shipped, instrumented solution with light guidance
- Good product and UX instincts
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with SQL and working with data warehouses (BigQuery a plus)
- Interest in accounting/fintech/payroll domain
