About the Position

Omnea is an AI-native procurement platform that simplifies enterprise buying. We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to own the design system and front-end architecture, working across product teams with modern technologies like React and Next.js.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design system outright: components, patterns, tokens, documentation, and adoption.
  • Own the front-end architecture: deployment strategy, performance, build tooling, and the conventions everyone else follows.
  • Work with all of our engineering teams on their most front-end-heavy projects.
  • Partner closely with Design to turn intent into reusable, high-quality primitives.
  • Use AI tools like Claude Code and agentic workflows to write, review, and ship code faster.
  • Deploy small, incremental changes to production multiple times per day.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their problems, gather feedback, and ensure we're building products that create genuine value.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with React and production React applications.
  • Experience owning front-end infrastructure: rendering strategies, build tooling, bundle performance.
  • Experience building or owning a design system.
  • Strong CSS skills: layout, styling architecture, accessibility, motion.
  • Fluent in TypeScript and comfortable working beyond the browser.
  • Motivated by impact and ownership.
  • Team builder: able to explain, give feedback, and level up others.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and defining the role shape.
  • Nice-to-have: experience at design-led companies.
  • Nice-to-have: exceptional performance in other areas (academics, sport, work).
  • Nice-to-have: love for engineering, open source contributions or side projects.
