Lead Full Stack Engineer (2603)

About the Position

Ciklum is looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine. We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges.

Responsibilities9

• Lead the design and development of a web-based cybersecurity platform, ensuring security, scalability, and high performance
• Own delivery end-to-end from technical concept and architecture to production readiness and long-term maintainability
• Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, and lead by example
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX and UI Designers, and Engineers to translate product ideas into robust technical solutions
• Mentor Engineers, conduct high-quality code reviews, and foster a culture of ownership and engineering excellence
• Design and implement frontend and backend systems using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python with a strong focus on usability and performance
• Architect secure APIs and backend services, embedding security best practices at every layer
• Drive quality and reliability through testing strategies, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution
• Contribute to team growth by supporting technical interviews and maintaining a high hiring bar

Requirements10

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack development delivering secure, scalable, user-focused applications
• Proven technical leadership experience as a Team Lead or Senior Engineer owning architecture and mentoring others
• Strong startup mindset with proactivity, independence, and end-to-end ownership in a fast-moving environment
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar on a daily basis
• Expert-level frontend expertise in React, delivering responsive and seamless user interfaces
• Strong backend expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL and NoSQL databases, and ORM frameworks
• Experience with AWS preferred, Azure or GCP, as well as Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills in English, working effectively with international stakeholders
• Ability to mentor and lead by example in technical best practices
